On the first day of the voyage it was very scary and I didn't know what to expect. It was so boring just playing with my sisters on the waka I bet it would of been better if you came.
The voyage was very long. we stopped quite alot of times on the way. well I have to go now hope to hear from you soon.

The six lucky birds
WALT..Write descriptively using a range of language features. Throughout the year we've been trying to add descriptive words in our stories we have been writing .What I found hard was thinking about the descriptive words to apply in my story. Maybe next time I will add more figurative language and think more about adding descriptive words.
The six lucky birds
I was walking through the woods all alone. I was feeling dizzy and tired I was thinking to myself ¨ how could this happen I was so hyped up just before¨ I started closing my eyes.
When I awoke I found myself lying in an old cottage. I got up and saw an old lady sitting next to me.She said ¨ it will be ok¨ I repeated what she said in my head and tried to keep myself calm .The lady went to the kitchen to get something from the kettle. She came back and told me to drink it, after I drank it I felt light headed and tired I tried to say to the old lady ¨what did you just give me?¨ but before I could say my last word I zapped out.
After I woke again I found myself back at my house,I thought to myself ¨how did I get here?¨ I got up and saw a cage of birds there was a note saying ¨ do not open¨. I was wondering why so I decided to open it, when I opened it I felt a little light headed. I looked around and saw myself going higher and higher into the air I thought that I was losing my mind I tried pinching myself to see if this was a dream and it wasn't I was freaking out I didn't know what to do.
After five minutes of standing around or should I saw floating I calmed down and tried to fly. I started getting the hang of it, and I went and flew to the radio and played I'm like a bird. I flew about and tried to find the birds they were still in the big, sunny grand hall I set them free in. I tried to calm the birds down they finally calmed themselves. After I calmed them down I went and put them in the huge gold cage I found them in.I counted up all the birds and there were six white doves I called them my six lucky birds, wondering why because they gave me the ability to fly I think but sometimes I still wonder how I ended up in all these strange places, and how the birds got in my house.

The Afro
This week in class we have been writing stories which are set on past tense. What I enjoyed about doing this was writing the story. What I found hard was how to set it in past tense. Something I could work on is trying not to use the same words repeatedly.
The Afro
When I was born I was a little tiny speck of hair. As my keeper grew older I grew larger. I was finally the size of four pairs of shoes. I was impressed on how huge I had grown over the past four years.
As time passed me and my keeper grew larger and older. My keeper was finally six years old and now I was the size of six pairs of shoes. I was happy that I was going to spend the rest of my life with him or so I thought.
Eight years later my keeper was fourteen years old and I was the size of nine pairs of shoes. I was so happy. The next day it was my keepers birthday now he is fifteen, my keeper decided to get me cut off. I was terrified.
When we got to the barber the barber asked ¨what kind of haircut he would like¨, my keeper said he wants to shave it all off. The barber got to work and started shaving me off I was so scared I that I fell asleep.
When I woke up I found myself lying in the rubbish can with other people's hair, I was sad because my keeper didn't want me so I sat in the trash can crying.

Is graffiti art or is it just messy?
Is Graffiti art or is it just messy?
In my opinion I think that graffiti is both. The reason why I think that it is both is because there are very good artist out there who don’t wanna be known but be known for being someone who does art on walls. The other reason why I think graffiti isn’t art is because there are some people in the world that just draw inappropriate things on walls.
Firstly, I think that graffiti is art because there are very artistic people around the world that don't wanna be known but be known for their art.
Secondly, I think that graffiti is art because it makes our white, plain buildings look more colorful and vibrant.
The other reason why I think that graffiti isn’t art is because there are people out there in the world that just write/draw inappropriate things on walls that the cleanup group have to clean.
That’s why I think that graffiti is both. Because it is art but it is also messy.

The Anzac puppy
The Anzac Puppy
Back in 1914, I was walking along the sidewalk when I came across a box. I saw that it had a dog in there. I picked up the dog and asked the lady next to the box if it was her dog, she replied “yes”. I asked the lady “what is the dog’s name?” she said “her name is Freda and my name is Lucy”. I replied saying “what lovely name’s. “Thank you” she said. As I was walking with the dog. I shouted to her “I promise that I will bring Freda back”. When me and Freda got to the trenches it was very misty and frosty for a few seconds , then it was boiling. When me and Freda got onto the battlefield all we could hear was rumbles, grumbles, bullets and explosions, it was very noisy.
Two or three weeks later me and Freda were still alive but my friends weren’t. Right now Freda was my only friend. I was depressed, lonely, sad and frustrated. When me and Freda were on the battlefield Freda had to watch me squat, crawl and crouch. When the war was over I delivered Freda back to her owner safe and sound.

What if the world's petrol/petroleum ran out tomorrow?
This week in class we had to write about what would happen if the worlds petrol ran out tomorrow. What made this task easy was how we had to make up five questions that the answer had to be traffic lights. I really enjoyed doing this task because it was quite easy and challenging at the same time.
What if the world’s petrol/petroleum ran out tomorrow ?
If the world’s petrol/petroleum ran out tomorrow there would be no more cars, trucks etc. Why would we need cars, trucks etc? Well we need cars because we would have to go to school to get good education also we would need cars to get food for the family from the shops.
The reason why we need trucks are because we need food to stock up our shops or else the shops might close due to no food. We also need trucks because they help lift furniture to homes example,if I was moving houses I would like to hire a moving truck to move all my furniture to the new house.
If we didn’t have petrol we wouldn’t be able to travel on planes up North to see family or friends. Even if we decided to drive down to see family or friends we still wouldn’t be able to because we wouldn't have any petrol to fill up our cars.
Even if we decided to walk to the shops that would be a good idea because we would be getting exercise but if it’s a long walk we would get tired and feel drained out from all that walking.
Questions answer :Traffic lights
What is red,orange and green?
What are those lights on a pole that give my parents cars orders?
What can’t cops run?
What gives light signals?
What are those lights on a pole that go red, orange and green?

The legend of the girl that turned into a coconut tree.
The legend of the girl that turned into a coconut tree
Long ago in the nineteen hundreds there lived a young pacific girl. She was very kind, loving and helpful. Her name was Connie Coco for short because she liked coconuts.
One beautiful summer's day coco decided to go to the village and help out. While Coco was helping out she spotted an old,ill woman. Coco felt sorry for the old lady so she decided to go and help out the old,ill woman.
After Coco helped the old woman she spotted her friends. Coco walked up to her friends and asked them if “they wanted to hang out’ they all said “ yes”. So they went for a walk and chilled out in the blazing sun.
Week’s passed and Coco got sick. Then suddenly Coco stopped breathing then died. Coco’s family and friends didn’t know what to do. They all decided that since Coco liked coconuts they would bury her next to a lovely, tall, brown coconut tree.
Years passed and Coco turned into a lovely, tall, beautiful, brown coconut tree.

The old cabin
The old cabin
As the man slithers his way down to the ground his eyes start to close. The sound of crunching leaves outside startles him. The man silently gets up to get a better view of what was outside. As the man was getting up he could hear footsteps from the other end of the cabin, getting closer and closer. The man stops and stands still for a moment, then the man heard a big “CRASH”
The man was shocked and didn’t know what to do. He walked around to the back of the cabin to find a big, hairy bear covered in red, liquid. The man didn’t know what to do so the man decided to rip a piece of his clothes off so he could wrap it around the bear,as the man got closer the bear started growling. As the man was gently patting the bear the bear felt safe the man gently wrapped the piece of clothing around the bear. They both laid there doing nothing until they hear the loud mysterious creaking coming from the other side. Who could it be?

My Holiday
W.A.L.T. Use the correct structure for a recount. I really enjoyed writing about my school holidays. Maybe next time I could come up with more descriptive words.
My Holiday
On the first week of the school holidays, my aunty, uncle and cousin’s came over to my house to have a drink and talk about some stuff. While my parents, aunty, uncle and cousins were drinking, me,my two sisters and my cousin were watching movies and mucking around.
After one hour, my family came inside had something to eat then took off but left my cousin with me and my family because she wanted to spend some time with us.
Seeing my aunty, uncle and cousin’s made me feel happy and sad at the same time. I’m happy to see them because I haven’t seen them since last year and I’m sad because they will have to go home and I won’t see them in ages.

Goldilocks twisted
Noodle Locks
One day, there was a very charming girl, her name was Noodella. She always stayed home and cleaned up after herself and her parents. She loved to explore and play with her horse, who had noodle hair like her, her horse was brown with golden hair and also looked very fair.
The next day, Noodella went exploring into the woods with her pet horse Dory, they went and wandered through the woods and came across a small cottage. They stopped and Noodella said “let's go in it’s not like the owners are home there's food inside and a place to sleep” Dory shook her head. Dory Dory stopped and started to run as she saw a gunman come, Noodella rushed inside and waited for Dory but Dory never came back.
A few days later Noodella realized that she ate all the food and that there was nothing to do, so she went upstairs and had a nap, but not realizing that people started coming inside.
To be continued...
This week in Room 6 we are writing our own twist about Goldilocks. Next time I could try think of better ways to write my story so it's more interesting.
